I have been selected as one of two artists in residence at the new Leicester Contemporary Gallery on Market Street in Leicester. I picked up the keys to my new studio space today. It is very exciting as I have never had a studio outside of my home. The gallery itself is stunning, as it is an old auction hall that turned into a betting shop. It has an interior not unlike a church, with beautiful exposed beams and an arched high ceiling. My residency will end in March with a week-long solo show in the space – exciting stuff!
